Friday Art Roundup #15
I was really excited to paint this week because I opened my etsy shop and made my first sale! I created 3 acrylic pour paintings and some necklaces (more about that in a minute).
The first painting I poured this week is a beach scene. I've been seeing different artists' versions of beach scenes all summer long, so I just had to do another one. (There will probably be more.)
The next two paintings I did used the exact same colors, but they turned out very different. It is amazing how technique shifts how paintings look, even when everything else is the same. The darker painting has changed a bit since I took this picture and more cells have formed!
I also started making jewelry out of the leftover acrylic skins from my paintings. If you look at the images above, you can see the excess paint on my silicone mat. When the paint dries you can peel it off and use it to make a variety of accessories. I opted to make necklaces.
The necklace below is already available for sale on my Etsy store!
Thank you for checking out my Friday Art Roundup, and I look forward to sharing more work with you soon!
