When was the last time you took stock of what you are doing on Instagram? Has it been a while? If so, it’s time for an Instagram audit.
Why do I need an Instagram Audit?
Instagram Audits allow you to look at what is working, what isn’t, and how you can improve your page. They are also an essential part of a functioning social media strategy.
I do partial audits every month and I take a holistic look at the whole thing each quarter.
3 Steps to Audit Your Instagram Profile
#1 Optimize your bio
Is your bio working for you? Your bio should clearly say what you offer and who you offer it for. It should also include a call to action that supports your business goals. Make sure you eliminate any barriers between your services and your ideal clients.

#2 Check your content
The next step is to look at your content. Does it line up with the bio you have crafted? Is there a reason behind each of your posts? Don’t forget to check your analytics to see if the piece of content was effective in meeting your business goals. Where can you improve?
#3 IG Story Highlights
Your IG Story Highlights are at the forefront of your profile. They should tell your story and give you social proof. The best highlights will help you sell.
But Don’t Stop There!
Auditing your profile is only helpful if you make adjustments based on what you see. If your bio is not telling people what you sell, add it! If your content is not relevant to your business goals, how can you make it relevant?
A great Instagram profile is always evolving and changing as your business does. What did you discover during your last Instagram Audit?
